Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Asklepion Journal ("the app", "we") is an iOS app for keeping a private personal health journal. For any privacy question, write to mail@margintheory.click.

2. Information you enter in the app

The app lets you create journal entries (mood, energy, sleep and wellbeing scores, notes, symptoms, influences), measurements and custom metric categories, appointments (provider, place, notes, questions, reminder time) and personal notes. This information:

• is stored only on your device, protected by iOS file protection;
• is never sent to us or to any third party — the app has no account system and does not need an internet connection;
• can be removed at any time with Settings → Erase all records, or by deleting the app.

3. What we do not do

• We do not collect personal data, device identifiers or usage statistics.
• We do not use advertising, tracking, analytics or AI services, and we do not sell or share data.
• The app does not track you across other apps or websites.

4. Device features the app may use

• Face ID / passcode (optional). If you turn on the app lock, iOS authenticates you on the device. The app never receives your biometric data — it only learns whether authentication succeeded.
• Notifications (optional). If you set a reminder for an appointment, the app asks for permission and schedules a notification locally on your device. The reminder text is not sent anywhere.
• PDF export (optional). When you create a PDF chronicle, it is generated on your device. It leaves the app only if you choose to share or save it through the iOS share sheet, and then it is governed by the destination you pick (for example, Mail or Files).

5. Backups

Depending on your iOS settings, the app's data may be included in your device backups (such as iCloud Backup or a computer backup). Those backups are controlled by you and Apple, not by us.

6. Not medical advice

Asklepion Journal organizes records you enter yourself. It does not diagnose conditions, recommend treatment or replace qualified medical care.

7. Children

The app does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect information at all.

8. This website

• The marketing site uses Google Fonts. When a page loads, your browser requests the fonts from Google, which may receive your IP address and browser details under Google's privacy policy.
• The contact form on the site is a visual demonstration only; it does not transmit what you type. To reach us, email mail@margintheory.click. If you do, we use your address and message solely to reply.
• The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics.

9. Your rights

Because your records exist only on your device, you already control them: view, edit or erase them in the app at any time. If you emailed us and want your message deleted, write to the address above.

10. Changes to this policy

If the app's data practices ever change, we will update this page and the date above before the change takes effect.
